Shaping Imagination
Young European Strings School of Music is dedicated to teaching the violin and other string instruments in Dublin and caters for budding young musicians from the age of three years and upwards.
The unique teaching method encourages very young children to learn the art of playing a musical instrument by stimulating their curiosity and imagination through game playing.
Within six weeks of beginning instrumental studies, toddlers from the age of three are partaking in YES family concerts. Six months later, these young students are able to perform their first Christmas Carols.
The YES ethos is to nurture a real love of music from an early age. Our highly-trained and dedicated teachers specialise in the following instruments:
The music school specialises in the early development and training of young professional musicians. Since the establishment of YES in 1987, our students have gone on to play in the string section of the Irish Chamber Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, as well as to secure teaching positions in the D.I.T. Conservatory of Music and Drama. Several our past students have gained international reputations as solo virtuosos, directors of music festivals and international competition winners.
